The South W.W. White Road, HEB celebrated 50 years this past week. Amongst the family fun crowd was the Sam Houston high school Band, The Spurs Coyote, The Silver Star Dancers, YMLA Choir, and our County Commissioner, Tommy Calvert Jr. It was a festival of celebration and fun for all!
Celebrating 50 Years
H-E-B celebrated 50 years at it's South W.W. White location. With a Spurs themed atmosphere and entertainment by the Sam Houston Band and it's Twister dancers, the Silver Dancers, and the Spurs Coyote, the parking lot was transformed into a huge pep rally for the eastside store. As part of its commitment to the community, H-E-B donated $50,000 to two organizations to include SAISD's Young Men's Leadership Academy which is located just up the road.
The YMLA choir performed during the event. In addition, H-E-B recognized longtime employee Idell Bean for her 30 years of service to the store and community and 48 years overall as an H-E-B employee. H-E-B presented her with a Spurs package an upcoming NBA game. Many dignitaries, including Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Calvert, and the community were invited to enjoy fun, food and music.
Idell Bean is being honored for her 30 years of service to the store and
community and 48 years overall as and H-E-B employee.
County Commissioner Tommy Calvert Jr., joins the community at the H-E-B on W.W. White Road to celebrate H-E-B's continued commitment to the East Side of San Antonio.
The Sam Houston High school band and Twister Dancers were also present in the mighty green and orange to support and perform for all in attendance. Way to represent Sam!
Also in attendance and performing through voice is the choir of YMLA (Young Men's Leadership Academy).
Just a FEW of our committed H-E-B employees thank you all for your dedication to San Antonio's Eastside.
The Eastside community showed up in full force to partake in the event.
The Silver Dancers also came out to show their spirit for the Eastside.
