State-Wide Baseball Tryouts Coming to Texas

Lancaster, TX Cedar Valley College June 12-13, Richmond, TX George Bush H.S. June 14-15 & DeSoto, TX June June 16-17

 

The National Urban Professional Baseball League will be launching four new Urban Baseball League teams in the spring of 2018. The league is open to baseball players 17 years old and older who have baseball talent, the participants will be paid. We will offer an eight week fall league in Arizona, September through October 2017, tryouts for the teams will start in May of 2017.

 

The creation of this professional Baseball League is designed to provide family entertainment and honor the history and memories of past African Americabaseball players (the same as the Negro League Museum in Kansas City, MO). The names of the teams in this league will reflect that of past Negro League players i.e. Rube Foster All-Stars, Cool Papa Bell All Stars, William "Skinny Legs" Blair and the Buck O’Neil All Stars etc.

 

GENERAL LEAGUE INFORMATION:

 

Ninety game schedule

 May through August in addition to league play-offs

45 away games/45 home games

6 games per week

15 three game home stands

Teams located within 250 - 350 miles

 

TEAM INFORMATION

 

24 players per team

The league is open to baseball players 17 years old and older 

All participants will receive monetary compensation

Tryouts for each team will begin in May, 2017

We will offer an eight week fall league in Arizona, to be held in September, 2017 through October, 2017.

The league starts in the spring of 2018
