Reality has set in for the San Antonio Spurs during the past week as they succumbed to two losses to Memphis on the road. The series is tied at two games apiece. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge combined for 34 points to lead the Spurs in a 105 – 94 loss in Game 1. Tony Parker who has been brilliant in the first two games came up short in scoring in game 1 but rebounded to score 22 points in the overtime loss in game 2 (110 – 108).
Manu Ginobili has been scoreless in both road games.
Although the Spurs outrebounded the Grizzlies in game one 42 – 33, the Spurs did not help their cause in missing 12 free throws. Leonard recorded his highest scoring game in the overtime loss scoring 43 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and getting 6 steals.
Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 35 points while Zach Randolph was held to 12 points after scoring 21 points in game one.
