SPURS BEAT

December 20, 2017

After losing to their Texas rivals last week, the Spurs came back in dramatic fashion to win its two home games against the Dallas Mavericks and L A Clippers.  Kawhi Leonard made his season debut against the Mavericks on the road playing in just over 15 minutes and scoring 13 points in the 95-89 loss.  Spurs then traveled to Houston who were riding a 12 game win streak along with the best record to date in the NBA.  The Spurs came up short in the 124 - 109 loss.

Leonard played sparingly scoring 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds as LaMarcus Aldridge led six players in double figures.  After returning home to the friendly confines of the AT&T Center, the Spurs settled the score against the Mavericks in a hard fought contest.  Having trailed throughout the game, the Spurs came up big in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Mavericks 13 - 0 in the final four minutes to clinch its 20th victory.  On Monday night, the Spurs out hustled and outplayed the Los Angeles Clippers to take the 109 - 91 win with Leonard playing again just over 15 minutes and scoring 7 points and 4 rebounds.
