SAN ANTONIO – The City of San Antonio is looking to shut down an East Side recycling plant due to criminal citations.
Ascent Recycling has been dealing with code violations since July of this year.
The TCEQ released the citations that were sent to the owner of the recycling plant for failure to prevent a nuisance, specifically dust in the air.
Earlier this month, it was found out that the recycling plant was facing criminal citations by the city and owed $11,000 in fines.
The city said they cannot clean up their act, the city will shut them down.
