Spurs Beat

November 30, 2016

After Coach Popovich chastised the team for its “pathetic performance” last week against the Mavericks, the Spurs took to the road during the Thanksgiving holidays.

The team remains perfect away from the AT&T Center as they went on to defeat Charlotte, Boston, and Washington all up-and-coming young athletic teams in the Eastern conference.

With a healthy lineup including strong bench play, the Spurs have played well on the road.  Patty Mills have been spectacular off the bench as well as Jonathan Simmons, Davis Bertans, and David Lee.

During the last 4 games, Mills is shooting 60%, while averaging 14 points, hit 8 of 16 three pointers, and made 13/14 free throws.  Bertans has seen his play time increase as he has become a dependable shooter and defender for the team.

The Spurs continue to lead the Southwest division with a 14 – 3 record and have the 3rd best record in the NBA behind the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Note:  Dewayne Dedmon has been sidelined with a left knee sprain.
