Spurs Beat

April 12, 2017

With the playoffs fast approaching, the Spurs had lost 3 of its last 10 games, most recently against the two Los Angeles teams. So with not much at stake in a Monday night game against Portland, the Spurs fell again this time to the Trailblazers 99 – 98. The Blazers were coming off a Saturday win over rival Utah, a game that solidified their 8 th place seeding in the Western Conference standings. And with one

game remaining on the regular season schedule, the Spurs have secured first place in the Southwest Division and have the second overall best record in the NBA. Golden State for the third year in a row has established the best record. The Spurs are set to play the 7 th seeded Memphis Grizzlies whom they have split the season series with. And for the first time in many years the Spurs will enter the playoffs minus

Tim Duncan. Hopefully his presence will be felt as the Spurs seek to return to the NBA finals.

Note: Danny Green had missed the previous 5 games with a quad injury before returning to the lineup in the Portland game.

Upcoming Schedule

Wed. Apr. 12 at Utah 9:30 pm
