Judson ISD teacher, coach, and mentor Jermaine “J-Cole” ColemanSr. was recognized by the City of Live Oak on Tuesday, 2 May 2017during the Teacher Appreciation Day for all his positive qualities and making a difference in the lives of students at Judson Early College Academy (JECA) and the Live Oak community at large. Mr. Mendell D. Morgan, Jr., elected Live Oak City Councilman Place One 2013 and President Elect, Greater Randolph Area Kiwanis Club presented the Recognition of Appreciation Resolution and Presentation for Jermaine Coleman’s outstanding job performance as a teacher, coach and mentor; and more importantly the outstanding service in the Live Oak community.
Coleman has served his students and community with tireless energy, including over 2,000 hours of volunteer time this year going above and beyond his regular hours on and off campus with flair; exudes confidence and energy, influencing his students to reach their full potential with pride; recognized by Judson Early College Academy (JECA) with the “Spirit of Judson Award for Staff”; developed a wonderful rapport with his students to inspire them as a positive role model, mentor and friend; known as a “gentle giant” who is really there for his students; motivates his students to reach beyond their grasp and excel; and leads as the teacher sponsor for Key Cub as part of the International Kiwanis family improving one child and one community as a time. Mr. Coleman was very appreciative of the award and thankful he was able to have family, friends and brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc Psi Alpha chapter to share in the moment of achievement.
