SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 23, 2017)---The St. Philip's College 138th commencement ceremony is Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in Freeman Coliseum at 3201 E. Houston St., with students in caps and gowns who have been on amazing journeys en route to obtaining degrees and certificates from more than 160 fields of study.

About St. Philip’s College: Bishop James Steptoe Johnston of the St. Philip’s Episcopal Church of the West Texas Diocese founded St. Philip’s College in 1898, and Saint Artemisia Bowden led the nondenominational public college for 52 years (1902–1954). Today, St. Philip’s College, a member of the Alamo Colleges District system, is a multi-campus institution and serves a semester enrollment of about 13,000 credit students. St. Philip’s College is a Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution. As "A Point of Pride in the Community," St. Philip’s College is among the oldest and most diverse community colleges in the United States.
