After losing to their Texas rivals last week, the Spurs came back in dramatic fashion to win its two home games against the Dallas Mavericks and L A Clippers. Kawhi Leonard made his season debut against the Mavericks on the road playing in just over 15 minutes and scoring 13 points in the 95-89 loss. Spurs then traveled to Houston who were riding a 12 game win streak along with the best record to date in the NBA. The Spurs came up short in the 124 - 109 loss.
Leonard played sparingly scoring 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds as LaMarcus Aldridge led six players in double figures. After returning home to the friendly confines of the AT&T Center, the Spurs settled the score against the Mavericks in a hard fought contest. Having trailed throughout the game, the Spurs came up big in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Mavericks 13 - 0 in the final four minutes to clinch its 20th victory. On Monday night, the Spurs out hustled and outplayed the Los Angeles Clippers to take the 109 - 91 win with Leonard playing again just over 15 minutes and scoring 7 points and 4 rebounds.
