SAN ANTONIO (April 9, 2018) – Viva Fiesta! The City of San Antonio is seeking volunteers to promote recycling on Friday, April 27 at the Battle of Flowers Parade and Saturday, April 28 at the Fiesta Flambeau Parade.


Volunteer responsibilities will include collecting loose recyclables (plastic bottles and cans) from the parade grounds. The public and volunteers can return the clear bags filled with recyclables to one of the 30 redemption stations to receive a special Fiesta medal.


There are two opportunities to volunteer during Fiesta:


Battle of Flowers Parade

Friday, April 27, 2018, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.


Fiesta Flambeau Parade

Saturday, April 28, 2018, 8 p.m. – 12 a.m.


Volunteer trainings will be held on April 17 and 18. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Free parking and transportation to the designated route will be provided. For more information or to volunteer at either parade, please contactKeepsabeautiful@gmail.com.
