R. Kelly Told Us To Call Him "Daddy"

July 25, 2018

On Monday a compelling R&B track, posted on SoundCloud by R. Kelly, has everyone questioning his character.  Responding to a series of allegations of sexual misconduct against him, R. Kelly releases a 19-minute song-  "I Admit". While Kelly admits to infidelity he denies all illegal accusations against him.

"Take my career and turn it upside down, 'cause you mad I've got some girlfriends."

"How they gon' say I don't respect these women, when all I've done is represent.”

He also states his hardships to alcohol abuse and fame. These previous actions led to a BBC Three investigation that began the #MuteRKelly campaign to limit his business. The #MuteRKelly campaign urged people from listening to Kelly's music, for instance asking streaming services to remove his music from their service for campaign support. As a result Apple Music and Spotify removed Kelly from their playlists.

Kelly sings one line in the "I Admit" song that states, "let me age gracefully".  How does one argue to let him age gracefully after the abuse he 'denies' over so many young women.

Age gracefully in jail Kelly!
