Community Organizations to host Annual Youth Empowerment Thanksgiving Dinner
SAN ANTONIO – (Nov. 6, 2018) Rising Star,
Inc., WORLD LOLEI Incorporation, and the
Prince Hall Affiliated Masonic Bodies has partnered with Anne Marie Catering to present the 2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Thanksgiving Dinner at the Devonshire Place, 12475 Starcrest Drive on Nov. 11 from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
There will be guest speakers, friends, family, and a good time. And, of course, all the fixings to a grand formal Thanksgiving dinner that’s one to remember.
The dinner will be prepared by the city’s own junior iron chefs who have competed in the annual Community Junior Chef Competitions.
The event is free and open to the public. Those wishing to attend must have RSVP’d to Charles Sattiewhite at (210) 914-2954 by Monday, Nov. 5.
More than 300 children, family members and the elderly from throughout the city attended the event in 2017.
According to Milas Williams, president of WORLD LOLEI, the dinner provides the youth an illustrated lesson on formal table settings, etiquette, and family style dinning.
WORLD LOLEI Incorporation is a Texas non-profit organization with a mission to help youth, mentally and physically, to prepare for success in their careers and life.
