Moussa Temple No. 106 elects New Potentate
SAN ANTONIO – Moussa Temple No. 106 of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles
Mystic Shrine, North and South America and its Jurisdiction, Inc. (Prince Hall Shriners) duly elected Noble Derek L. Scott as its 51st Illustrious Potentate during its annual elections held at the Masonic Temple on the city’s eastside, Dec. 13.
Noble Scott was born in Chicago in 1971. He graduated from Noxubee County High School in Macon, Miss., in 1989 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1992.
In 2012, Noble Scott retired from the Army after 21 years of faithful and honorable service at the rank of sergeant first class. During his service to the Nation, he has been stationed at numerous duty assignments, held many leadership positions, and received many awards in the field of Logistics Management.
Noble Scott possesses Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University with Magna Cum Laude honors.
He was created a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Tuwa Temple No. 228 located in Annapolis, Md., where he held the position of Outer Guard and Captain of the Guard.
In 2015, he transferred into Moussa Temple No. 106 where he served as Captain of the Guard, 2nd Ceremonial Master, Assistant Rabban, and Chief Rabban.
Noble Scott is the current Master of Noble Star Lodge No. 277 and is a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
