SPURS BEAT

February 6, 2019

After winning five straight games, including four on its previous home stand the Spurs began its annual Rodeo road trip.  The Spurs played at Sacramento on Monday night to begin a tough West coast swing playing some of the highest ranking teams on its rodeo schedule.  The Kings, 10th in the Western Conference and looking to continue its own 4 game home winning streak did not perform like a team on the outside looking in as they had their way for a 127 – 112 victory.  Not a good start to the road trip.

The Kings outshot the Spurs 56% to 43% to come away with the win.  Marvin Bagley III led the charge with a career high 24 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.  Spurs were led in scoring by DeMar DeRozan’s 24 points and LaMarcus Aldridges’ 22 points and 9 rebounds.  The usually hot handed 3-point shooter Marco Belinelli was only 1 for 7 from long range.
