Just when you thought things could not get any worse for the Spurs after losing a heartbreaker against the Toronto Raptors (120 – 117), things did indeed spiral downward. The team lost to Eastern Conference last place foe New York Knicks 130 – 118 and followed that loss in a back to back with a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets 101 – 85.
What’s wrong with the Spurs? Your thoughts are as good as anyone’s. The Spurs have not been able to stop anyone on defense and are seemingly struggling on offense. The annual rodeo road trip has finally come to a merciful end for a team, who usually has some away from home success, won only one of eight games on the road. There is a very tight race in the Western Conference and if the Spurs are to contend for a playoff spot hopefully they will figure out what’s wrong and correct it soon.
Note: The Spurs currently sit in 8th place in the Western Conference.
