SEGUIN NATIVE AND FORMER NFL PLAYER LAWRENCE SAMPLETON RETURNS TO CONDUCT HIS ANNUAL FOOTBALL CAMP FOR BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
[SEGUIN, TEXAS, June 2019] - Seguin native, Lawrence Sampleton comes home on June 22, 2019 to conduct a camp focusing on the “FUNdamental” skills of football. This is the third annual Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp; it is in support of the National Healthy Habits Initiative of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Healthy Habits is a program for children that emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improved overall well-being.
Lawrence Sampleton, a product of the Boys Club of Seguin, will be hosting the camp that is operated by Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas.
The Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp will be held at the Matadors Stadium on the campus of Seguin High School (805 Lamar Dr. Seguin, TX 78155), Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. This co-ed camp is for ages 6-14; the camp is free for all participants.
The camp will be preceded by the Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp Kickoff on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Warehouse Seguin (108 S Austin St, Seguin, TX 78155). The Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp has remained free because of the ongoing support and generosity from the community.
This year’s Kickoff event will have delicious food, a sports memorabilia silent auction and live entertainment from Landon Bullard & the Mostly Sober! They have provided direct support /co- billed with some of the highest charting Texas Country / Americana / Red-dirt acts such as Randy Rogers, Reckless Kelly, Josh Abbott, Cody Johnson and many more.
