Our SAPD East SAFFE (San Antonio Fear Free Environment) Officers remind us every day that strong efforts to create positive community-police relations are being made.

Our friends at East SAFFE spent the summer coaching baseball with children from Bode and Dawson community centers. PAL (Police Athletic League) takes charge every summer and shows these children their potential. This is an amazing program that gives our children space to learn how to work as part of a team, to learn to practice good sportsmanship, and to work hard to achieve their goals. Beyond that - baseball goes beyond the normal basketball and football our children love, diversifying their talents!

The East SAFFE Officers also recently teamed up with “Shields for Kids” to host a day at the movies for children with cancer and children with special needs. These amazing kiddos enjoyed taking photos on their very own red carpet before watching The Lion King.
