LOU MILLER RESPONDS TO ZERO CRIME ON THE EASTSIDE DUE TO NON-REPORTING
Current Crime Stats for the eastside of San Antonio have not been uploaded up into the system for over 4 months. It is understandable that SAPD didn’t want the enormous list of weekly crime stats being made public because of the public outcry that it would result calling for more police officers. Last week we reported that D7 CW Sandoval finally stepped in to provide information to D2 whose requests went ignored.
Sandoval heads the Public Safety Committee, we are glad to see at the end of the day she is invested into her duties for public awareness and safety. D2 Councilwoman, Sullivan supposedly spearheading crime in her district, is letting her colleagues do her work for her. When pushed up against a public wall Lou Miller (Chief of Staff, D2) may pop his head in but he is only providing links to information we already know. Usually leadership gives us the information we do NOT know.
After a further weekend push to update the FBI's database to show true crime stats for D2, it is updated. These are the types of things we must all work together on to ensure our public officials are held accountable. If they cannot keep us safe or wish not to participate in safety we have our neighbors who take their personal time to hold our city officials accountable.

Lou, As I said before the Crime Stats are not current numbers. They are 4 months old. Those that have been blinded copied will tell you the same thing. Please reflect on the Four (4) Way Test of Rotary, Lou

The numbers are the most recent from SAPD. They have not been sent to the FBI yet. This is all that’s available

Lou, that’s the whole point those numbers are from January through June 2019. They are 4 Months behind! WHY? We all want straight answers and since the Councilwoman can only go to the City Manager for SAPD current stats, then please send us all a copy of her request. We then can take it from there and we don’t have to go though theCity Manager to hold accountable the SAPD Chief. If the City Manager can’t do his job in making our City Government transparent, then he needs to be replaced.
Communication is key. The District 2 Admin Staff and Councilwoman exude no couth. Your constituents are working to make this community better each and every day. Greet them with respect, respond to them with respect, and more importantly you must answer to your voters D2 CW and staff, if you don't answer your constituents then who do you answer?
D2 Voters, we will continue to keep you updated on not only the development and updates of our community crime but also on how your elected officials respond to your needs and concerns.
