Mayor Nirenberg Ignores City Elected Officials
After news broke last week that Ron Nirenberg was not all smiles, it only enforced what this community has known for way too long. That Ron Nirenberg is a problem and that this is not a 'City for All'. Council reps spoke out to Express News Reporter Gilbert Garcia stating,
The Observer ran multiple articles during the Mayor's second term election campaign warning voters that he was not the right choice.
On May 21, 2019 the article, "TWO FACED- HOW NIRENBERG WORKS- History Shows Nirenberg's Strategy" published.
On April 10, 2019 the article, "US CIVIL RIGHTS COMMISSIONER BLASTS MAYOR NIRENBERG" published.
On July 19, 2017 the article "New Mayor… Same Ole Politricks?" was published.
The conversation started roughly 3 years ago forecasting his abilities as Mayor.
He was endorsed and boldly supported by the Express News, the same supporters are now questioning his abilities just as our community has for several years.
City Manager, Erik Walsh, should be ultimately concerned as he represents this city and should be way ahead of this divisiveness operating around him. City managers are supposed to bridge the gap between politics and the day-to-day administration of city services. Perhaps former city manager Sculley was running a tight ship, one that kept Nirenberg reeled in.
