THE BIBLE SAYS- 'Cliche' To The Hearer'

January 22, 2020

“This is the day that the Lord has made; we shall rejoice and be glad in it” Psalms 118:24

The Bible Says:

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. To receive God’s guidance, we must seek God’s will in all we do.  No matter what we are faced with, no decision is too insignificant or difficult to seek God’s guidance.  To trust God is to know God. Mankind has been equipped with the knowledge and the ability to reason.  It is unwise to omit careful thinking, and it is also unwise to trust in your own thoughts and abilities. There is nothing that God cannot deliver, heal, or provide a way of escape; nothing is too hard for God. These words, at times, may present themselves as a cliché to the hearer; however, empty words illustrate the hearts lack of belief.

Often, we may think we know what is best, but only God knows what is best for us. He is a better judge of what we want than we are! To think highly or envision ourselves wise is a recipe for disaster. Be willing to listen and commit your ways to God. Turn every area of your life over to him, (Matthew 6;33). Examine values and priorities; there may be areas within that God has full access to, and then there are areas where he is restricted. Let God be the vital part of life, and everything will be successful because his purpose is being accomplished, (Proverbs 16:3). It is essential to maintain a delicate balance of trusting God while working to fulfill his will. As people, we follow and trust the heart desires. God uses situations to illustrate the posture and true desires of man’s heart. For man makes many plans within his heart, but only the will of God shall prevail, (Proverbs 19:21).

God is omniscient, all-knowing. Knowing this should not arouse fear but joy. God sees and knows the worst part of man, and yet he still loves him, even today! Get to know God; worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. God sees every heart and knows and understands every plan and thought, (1 Chronicles 28:9). Trusting God in every area of your life is an indicator of strength and insight that apart from him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Take refuge in the Lord, for he is almighty and all-powerful. Understand and hear; God is everlasting, father of creation; he neither faints nor gets weary, and no man can measure the depths of his understanding (Isaiah 40:28).

Prayer: Lord, thank you for orchestrating our thoughts and life. We willingly commit every aspect of our life and our will to you that your will may prevail; in Jesus' name, Amen.
